Dankzij musicus Gert-Jan Blom is veel werk van muzikale pioniers bewaard gebleven en beluisterbaar. Zo herintroduceerde hij de muziek van Raymond Scott: op cd, met zijn eigen bands en met het Metropole Orkest. Ook sleepte hij het album 'Delirium in hifi' van André Popp voor de poorten van de hel weg. Veel moderne musici zijn door deze componisten en 'uitvinders' van elektronische muziek geïnspireerd, zoals Frank Zappa. Ook bedacht Blom The Boulevard of Broken Dreams, de voorloper van theaterfestival de Parade. In een drieluik wordt deze november de genialiteit en inventiviteit van deze musici ter gehore gebracht, met de stem van Blom en radiomaker Co de Kloet. De Kloet spreekt over zijn ervaringen met Frank Zappa, die op 4 december 2018 25 jaar geleden is overleden. Dit is de aflevering over Raymond Scott.
